Its a Woodland kinda year!

After receiving a few inquiries about what to wear for the Christmas Mini Session pics with Duet Photography I felt it necessary to share with you a few do's and dont's to help create the most memorable holiday pictures.

Our Theme?

This year's theme is A Woodland Christmas. You can be sure to see some shape, style or element of wood within each set we will be offering, because being surrounded by Christmas Trees just isn't enough :)

Where to Start?

The best place to start for coordinating your family ensemble is starting with the hardest person to dress first (usually your youngest child) and plan the rest of the outfits to blend. Also to obtain your swag don't forget to dress according to the weather and time of year. Nothing says holiday pictures like a tank top and flip flops, right?

What to pick?

My go to palette for pictures is always neutral colors and solid patterns. Think "Less is More" (and by that I mean stay clear of all the jazzy prints). Cream, burgundy, navy, brown, denim, and gray's are perfect shades and will definitely compliment all the fresh greenery that will surround you. It's safe to say cream, denim and gray are my personal fav.

If you choose to go the pattern route, without a doubt I choose plaids and stripes as you can't go wrong with classic prints. Steer clear of trends, heavy and restricted clothing, and when in doubt wear your comfortable clothing and don't forget to have a great time, Its the holiday season!!

Hot Cocoa & Snow,

Katie
